               Polonnaruwa is a major city in North Central Province. It is a super spot for historical lovers. In the 12th and 13th century this city was a prosperous metropolis. It was the royal capital city of Chola and Sinhalese.

How to arrival from Colombo

              The best way to reach is to take the train from Colombo Railway Station to Habarana. If you like to travel by bus from Colombo Fort you can take the bus to Polonnaruwa. This bus is 5 times a day and every 15 minutes. This journey will take around 6h 25m.
